Joined by Pete, Neil and Adrian (and a couple of hours by Kieron), we bashed out 51 miles in 3 hours before lunch – our highest average speed of our trip to date! Cruising through the streets of Warrington and Wigan slowed us down but it was still a great day in the sunshine.

Today saw the end of Steve (Stevo!) as our driver. Many thanks from all of us to Stevo – he was simply superb in taking care of all our needs, humphing baggage and offering motivational support at all times. We will dearly miss his facts of the day as we passed through town after town – time in the van offers great opportunity for research in nonsense, it would seem.
