Over the past 18 months we have developed a strong partnership with the Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Edinburgh. The University is home to world-class laboratories which focus on the causes of MS and developments of treatments. Work at Edinburgh aims to understand how to repair the damaged myelin sheath and protect nerves so as to develop novel pharmaceutical interventions. The One More Hill fund is working with the Director of the Centre for Regenerative Medicine, Professor Charles ffrench-Constant, particularly on research into the role of re-myelination in Multiple Sclerosis treatments. The money we raise makes a significant contribution towards this research and will lead to a greater understanding of this debilitating disease.
