On October 6, David and Martyn participated in the 29th Annual New York Bike MS, completing 100 miles round the streets of Manhattan and New Jersey. Joining the other 5,000 riders, the One More Hill team were delighted to be supported by JoanAnn Natola, Brian Levy and Rob Guarino.
Surely a simple 100 miles would be easy after riding the length of the UK in July? Not so! Wet and cold conditions, a very hilly route and treacherous road conditions made for a pretty tough day. Notwithstanding, it was still highly enjoyable (at times!) and cycling through the Holland Tunnel, alongside thousands of fellow cyclists, is certainly something all of the team will remember with a smile.
The Ride as a whole has to date raised over $2.5m for MS research which is fabulous.
