As the dust has finally settled after the One More Hill Pro-Am on June 8th, it is time just to underline our gratitude to a number of key supporters. There are a few team snap shots from the day below. More photos can be viewed here.
In no particular order we would like to thank Mercedes-Benz for making the day so special, and specifically Steve Hannifan for immediately buying into our vision for the day, and then making it happen. I think everyone will agree that the anticipation around the 7th tee made the day very special. Once again commiserations to Hannah Burke who lipped out for what would have been a very lucrative hole in one!
Thanks also to Blackwood Group and Zeus Capital. Their involvement was integral to making the day happen and we hugely appreciate their ongoing support for One More Hill.
Obviously a huge thank you goes to the Ladies European Tour. The involvement of the professionals made the day quite unique for everyone and the feedback from those attending about how friendly and helpful each pro was (and some attendees needed the help!) came from across the board. A big thanks to Di Barnard for all the LET organisation behind the scenes, and a special thank you to Becky Brewerton for going the extra mile for a cause close to her heart.
Thank you is also due to Woking Golf Club. The unanimous feedback from out on the course was that it was an absolute pleasure to play, in addition to the extraordinary hospitality of all the staff in the clubhouse involved in the day. We don’t underestimate how much impact a day like 8th June has on the club and its members, so we appreciate the ongoing support from all at Woking Golf Club.
Finally, thanks go to all captains and team members of our 25 Pro-Am teams. As we stated on the day, you can organise the finest event in the land, but if nobody shows up, then you don’t have very much to work with! Your generosity throughout the day was exceptional and we hope you can see, through the work that Professor ffrench-Constant mentioned, your money is going to fund some incredible and ground breaking research.
We still have some final tallying up of numbers to do, but we know that our final total raised on the day will be well over £40,000. This takes our One More Hill total since we started to well in excess of £100,000 which, in just three events, we are very proud of. We cannot thank you enough for your continued belief in the cause.
